The Distance Dilemma
WalkTheVenue was created to solve a singular, frustrating problem: finding accommodation that is actually close to the venue, not just “in the city.”
Why We Exist
When booking a trip to a major concert, sports match, or conference, the “City Center” isn't always where the action is. Standard booking engines sort hotels by generic metrics or sponsor placements.
Event travellers often want to reduce the journey between their accommodation and the venue. WalkTheVenue makes proximity visible early, then encourages people to verify the actual pedestrian or transit route, event entrance and local conditions before booking.
Our Method and Funding
Event details come from event discovery services and selected official sources. We match each event to venue coordinates, then use Stay22 to show current accommodation options nearby. Straight-line distances and map positions are starting points, not verified walking routes; always confirm the entrance, route, dates and booking terms before paying.
WalkTheVenue is funded through affiliate commissions. If you complete a booking after using a partner map or link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission does not change the event or destination information we publish.
We review high-priority guides for date accuracy, transport context and source quality, and we correct errors when identified. Our goal is practical comparison rather than claiming that one hotel is universally “best.”
How It Works
WalkTheVenue combines event listings with venue coordinates so travellers can compare accommodation around the place they are attending.
Through our accommodation partner, we map available hotels and apartments around those coordinates. Distances are a useful comparison tool, and travellers should confirm the final walking route and entrance before booking.
